Quality counts

First a Bachelor's degree, then one year of work experience as a project engineer, then two months abroad in the USA and finally another master's degree: the paths leading to SCIO are numerous. Jana began working as a student worker at SCIO Technology in early 2020. Her tasks include project management and the development of business processes. Since March she is in charge of the implementation of a quality management system.

"Soon after I started at SCIO they were looking for a person to supervise the implementation of the DIN ISO 9001 standard. Because I had already been involved in a certification process in my previous company, I was immediately interested.”

The certification according to the quality management standard "DIN ISO 9001" ensures that all company processes and services such as production and development are carried out according to the given standards and that these standards are maintained at any time. In the high technology market segment in which SCIO is active certification is extremely important.

"For me, it is the first big project that I am allowed to supervise at SCIO. The responsibility I am given here as a working student is really huge. Without the support of the individual departments and superiors, it would not be possible. Especially because in quality management an insight into every department of the company is of great importance".

The certification according to DIN ISO 9001 is expected to be completed by the end of this year. After that Jana can imagine further projects in this area: "For SCIO as a battery system manufacturer the automotive industry is a key target customer segment. For this purpose, the additional quality standard IATF 16949 will be necessary. Topics such as environmental or energy management are also conceivable. Of course, I am also open to other tasks as long as I can contribute my share to the growth and success of SCIO".
